With the weather finally starting to warm up and the flowers starting to blossom, picnic season is officially among us!
Picnics can be simple, extravagant or anywhere in between! At Blink Blank, we love to make everything as fun and gorgeous as possible so here are our tips on how to put together a beautiful picnic!
Step 1: Pick a location
We don't all live in beautiful meadows with exotic flowers but I'm sure that wherever you are in the world, there's a beautiful park nearby waiting to be visited. Choose somewhere with lots of greenery, nature and of course FLOWERS! One of our favourites here in Toronto is High Park (especially during cherry blossom season). You can also opt for somewhere by a beach or lake if you enjoy the sounds of water in the background.
Step 2: Pack Food & Drinks
Always stick to finger food when deciding on your picnic menu. A charcuterie box is a great way to have some variety. You can customize your "charcuterie" however you want to include all of your and your guests favourites and make it more kid friendly by adding fun crackers and sweets.
Some fresh juice and fruit are also a must! There's nothing like fresh strawberries on a warm day out in the sun.
Step 3: GAMES!
Of course we need activities to keep the picnic fun. Bring some frisbees, a soccer ball, bubbles, colouring book, playing cards, etc. You can also get extra creative and organize obstacle courses, ring toss, giant tic-tac-toe, and more!
Step 4: Dress to Impress!
Here at Blink Blank, we always make sure we're dressed for the part.
We want to stay comfortable (duh!) but still cute! Something airy and flowy with spring patterns is the way to go.
And there you have it.. the recipe to a perfect picnic! Make sure to tag us in your picnic photos!
